LET’S ANSWER YOUR BURNING QUESTIONS

  • Our definition of an elopement is a ceremony-only standing celebration with less than 5 guests.

We also plan micro-weddings of up to 25 guests and consider intimate receptions on a case-by-case basis.

  • A few places we’ve popped up at . . .

    • Joshua Tree

    • Palm Springs

    • Downtown Los Angeles

    • Griffith Park

    • Pasadena

    • Beverly Hills

    • Malibu

    • Palos Verdes

    • Newport Beach

    • Laguna Beach

    • San Diego

    • Idyllwild

    • Sonoma

    • Anza-Borrego Desert

    • Angeles National Forest

    • San Bernardino National Forest

    • Glacier National Park

    • Olympic National Park

All our packages include travel within Southern California.

We have quite a few locations on our bucket list too!

  • While we do have relationships with venues in LA and the surrounding areas, oftentimes our couples want something unexpected with a natural landscape. As often as we can, we try to support national & state parks, monuments, forests, and preserves. We work with you to find the perfect location for your ceremony.

  • Our partnerships include florists, rentals, cake & champagne, photographers, videographers, officiants, custom attire & accessories, hairstylists & makeup artists, and private chefs.

  • In order for your marriage to be legally recognized, you’ll need to obtain a marriage license through the county registrar.

In California, your marriage license is valid 90 days from the date it was issued. If you are coming from out of state or are having a last-minute ceremony, we work with officiants who are also notarized to issue confidential marriage licenses directly to you. The only difference between a public and confidential marriage license is that a confidential marriage license does not require any witnesses and is not published on public record. Both are legally valid.

  • We recommend planning your elopement 3 - 6 months from your date.

  • Our current record is two weeks. If you want to try to beat that, reach out to see if we’re available! Please keep in mind that bookings within a month incur an additional fee.

  • Our elopements range from $10k - 25k.

  • All of your planning meetings will be with Opus Events Co owner and lead planner Belinda.

  • FUCK YES.

“Belinda was so wonderful to work with! My partner and I wanted a small, intimate elopement and we had a pretty short timeline to make it happen. Belinda went above and beyond to help us create the perfect day. There were a couple non-traditional things we wanted, as well as lots of moments during the planning process when we weren't sure what the heck we wanted, and Belinda was always patient and listened, making sure we worked together to create a beautiful day for my partner and I. She helped us nail down the location, the design of the ceremony space and the florals, she recommended our amazing photographer as well as our officiant. She was the point of communication between all our vendors and was there the day of to coordinate everything, from picking up our cake to setting up the space -- which ended up so gorgeous! She was always communicative and professional while still being incredible friendly and positive. We could feel her genuine excitement for us and that meant a lot since there were so few people involved in the elopement. It was important to us that each vendor brought a good energy and Belinda definitely did. Even though it was a small event, it still feel like a special, once-in-a-lifetime day and Belinda was instrumental in making that happen!”

“Belinda was a lifesaver for our entire elopement planning and wedding reception process. She is empathetic, detail-oriented, creative, and has a wide network of folks in the wedding industry to help you not worry about your big day. From beginning the planning process a year ago, Belinda has guided us through every step of the journey and helped us have fun (yes, wedding planning can be fun) while at it. We can't recommend her highly enough. If you're looking for someone who will help you cover all your bases for wedding planning and small events at a reasonable price, Belinda is your person!”

“Belinda planned the perfect elopement for my husband and I! Our wedding plans were ruined by coronavirus, but we were so lucky to find her so we could still get married. She helped us with all the elements and pulled together a beautiful event in less than 2 weeks. She helped us find an officiant who was able to also do our marriage license, found the perfect location for the ceremony, and even set up a beautiful pop up reception so my husband and I could cut cake and have a toast. Plus she works with The Hendrys, an incredible photography duo. Our photos were stunning and we couldn't be happier. All in all it was the best day we could have dreamed of! If you have the chance to work with her take it!”
